🇮🇩Adi Junimon Noer(Nimon) Interview Highlights

Adi Junimon Noer (Nimon) begin marched in Madah Bahana Universitas Indonesia Marching Band in the year 1996 to 1999 and served as a Percussion leader in the year 2019. He was also a Program Director, arranger as well as building the system and organization for Gita Sur sowan(2006-2009), Madah Bahana Universitas Indonesia (2010-2015), and Gita Pakuan Bandung (2014-2016). He is an active percussion clinician around Indonesia with Pearl Marching Drum & Adams as an endorsee since2006 and having experience in judging music and percussion in various places, for example like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, and etc.


Graduated from Universities Indonesia, he took the position as Percussion Director and composer from the year 2000 till 2016. He starts arranging and composing Full Score for Madah Bahana Universitas Indonesia from 2002 till present.


In the year 2007, Nimon invented “Marching Drumbattle” with his friends Mr.Joedhi Roemekso and Mr.Rino Andhika. Pushing the scheme, and musicality in the battery section for educational purposes, the drum battle event grows rapidly and first set foot on the international stage in the next two years. One of the Thailand judge found the idea amazing and brought the system after the event, and start applying it in Thailand. In the year 2013, the event influence DCI and copyright it in the USA as “Drumline Battle”. Nowadays, Drumbattle is one of the most popular events for Marching Percussion all around South East Asia.

2. There are rules in Drumbattle in order to keep discipline.


3. Gamelan is a traditional music ensemble in Indonesia.

Reading this interview highlights article really shows how storytelling and creative expression can give artists a stronger connection with society and culture. I remember working on a media research task where analyzing audience responses felt difficult at first because the patterns were scattered. I used Academic help with data science models for media audience analysis during practice, and it helped me organize insights more clearly. It reminds me that creativity and data can support each other well. Nice post.
